Fiona Shipwright
Fiona is a writer and editor from London, based in Berlin. She holds a BA in Fine Art & Philosophy from the University of Reading and an MA in Critical Writing & Curatorial Practice from Chelsea College of Art & Design and has a keen interest in exploring the relationship between the built environment and the realm of the digital. From 2009 to 2014 she worked for the visual arts publisher Phaidon Press in London, first as an assistant editor on titles such as 20th Century Architecture: The Phaidon Atlas (2012) and Dieter Rams: As Little Design As Possible (2011) and later as an editor on the publisher’s emerging digital list. Between 2014 and 2016 she was an editor for uncube, the digital magazine for architecture and beyond. Alongside &beyond projects such as Archifutures, she has worked as an editor with Ruby Press, transmediale and Urban School Ruhr. In 2015 she coordinated the English-language editorial and social media areas of the inaugural edition of the Make City architecture and urbanism festival in Berlin. Her writing also appears in rhizome, super/collider, The Architectural Review and elsewhere.
